Goldenwood’s core community, the Collective, is committed to transforming how we work by embodying a long-term vision for renewal. Supported by the diverse offerings of the Goldenwood Institute, this dedicated group equips and inspires its members to contribute towards a world enlivened by hope and possibility.
The Institute offers courses, intensives, and retreats designed to broaden our understanding of what work could become. We draw from four streams—spiritual formation, imagination, nature, and justice—to cultivate a holistic and forward-looking vision of work that nurtures both personal and communal transformation.
CityGuilds are intimate, in-person small groups that support members in navigating work-related challenges and questions. Meeting monthly, these groups apply discernment and spiritual wisdom to re-envision professional growth, fostering a supportive community where members can grow both professionally and spiritually. Launching nation-wide in 2025.
The Dream Forum invites individuals to articulate and explore their dreams within a communal “decelerator.” Selected participants engage in a six-month journey, cultivating both the dream and the dreamer, supported by a community of fellow dreamers and advisors.

The Goldenwood Institute envisions a world where work is not just a means of earning a living but a creative expression of a flourishing humanity—a place where ongoing formation is experiential, integrative, and life-long. Guided by a robust theology of creation, work, and renewal, we believe that spiritual formation, imagination, nature, and justice are critical and often missing elements that expand our vision of what is possible in our world.
The purpose of the CityGuild is to “Cultivate Ecosystems of Hope” that develop a long-term vision for renewal in cities by building local communities that engage in collaborative work, fostering mutual support, and creating diverse spaces where people can thrive together. These monthly meetings strengthen communal bonds and encourage the meeting of needs through shared resources.
The Dream Forum encourages people to bring forth their dreams. Dreamers are selected to form four-person “Dream Pods” to walk through a six-month process of “deceleration” to discover how to bring forth a vision that keeps divine presence and abounding grace at the heart of bringing forth something new into the world.
Goldenwood’s flagship program, this distinctive 7-month experience weaves together elements of coaching, spiritual direction, and communal discernment processes for developing a multi-layered holistic vision for your life. Building upon life-rhythms that are foundational for Christian maturity and growth, Nautilus offers a cohesive, comprehensive and coordinated journey towards spiritual vitality for all of life.

As we emerge from a season of incredible disruption, we need more than ever to be reminded of the things that matter most. Our days can easily blur with few external structures providing much-needed rhythms in our lives. These paths facilitate daily and weekly rituals to augment our ability to hear God’s voice in the midst of our everyday work lives. The virtual format allows participation from all over the world.
These getaways create the much-needed opportunity to process important life issues that often go unaddressed in our hurried lives. The weekends provide a safe environment that allows you to ask God questions as you listen through times alone and with others in prayer and structured dialogue. Hearing God’s voice provides the liberating clarity to move forward confidently in faith and trust.

This unique “decelerator” invites and encourages people to bring forth their ideas, their dreams, their visions and through a process of curation, 8-12 individuals will be selected to form “Dream Pods”, together receiving access to connections and resources from across the broader community to spur one another on and move from idea to the appropriate subsequent stage of development.
