Announcing the Shift from DreamForum to GreenHouse
Updated: December 1, 2025 [Read full announcement from David Kim]
In the early days of the COVID-19 pandemic, Goldenwood birthed the DreamForum—a sacred space for listening, sharing, and holding onto the fragile light of hope amidst profound uncertainty. Rooted in a time of rupture, the DreamForum became a haven for those daring to imagine again.
Today, we’re planting that seed in new soil. We’re thrilled to announce that DreamForum is becoming Goldenwood GreenHouse.
This new name reflects the organic maturity of the DreamForum. While born out of crisis, it has grown into something more resilient, spacious, and invitational. This greenhouse is a “decelerator” where things grow slowly, nurtured by warmth, community, and light.
Whether it’s a “side hustle,” a half-formed idea tucked away in a journal, or a dream you’ve carried for years but never had the space to explore—the GreenHouse is for you. It invites people to step into a process of sacred testing and communal discernment. Here, ideas are not rushed but are nurtured in community and in the presence of God.
The GreenHouse welcomes anyone—artists, entrepreneurs, educators, engineers—who carry a vision for work that heals, redeems, and reimagines the world.
This shift is not a departure but a broadening. The program’s core practices remain: deceleration, spiritual listening, and communal discernment. But the invitation expands: from the urgent dreams of a disrupted world to the quiet cultivation of tomorrow’s hope-giving possibilities.

Overview
We take seriously the reality that we have a God who speaks to us, and who gives us dreams of His Kingdom so that we might cultivate this world in ways that reflect His character and embody His glory. And we have seen first-hand the power of a community that shares this common vision and passionately collaborates toward that end, enlivened by the Spirit—the very breath of God. We are bringing people together to cultivate their ideas in a community that seeks the Spirit’s renewing power to turn dreams into reality.
The Greenhouse invites and encourages people to bring forth their ideas, their dreams, their visions. Participants will be a part of a four-person listening “pod” that will help move an idea to the appropriate subsequent stage of development over the course of a communal 6-month journey.
And while the creation of the next world-shaping venture or thriving non-profit may be an outworking of this, it is not our primary goal. Rather, our hope is to encourage listening—listening to the Spirit of God, in community, as He invites us to take up the calling we’ve received—a calling to reimagine and remake our world with love.
Why a “Decelerator”?
In a world driven by speed, productivity, and constant urgency, a “decelerator” offers a radical and different path to bringing something new into the world. It is a sacred space where individuals and organizations can slow down to become attentive to God’s presence, and recalibrate their plans accordingly. At Goldenwood, we believe truly transformative ideas begin not in acceleration, but in stillness. This decelerator helps us move from reaction to reflection, from burnout to rootedness. By resisting the tyranny of the clock and embracing rhythms of Kairos time, we learn to perceive what is already emerging in our lives and communities. It is here, in slowing down, that hope takes root and our imaginations are awakened to reimagine a world made new.

Goals
The Goldenwood GreenHouse is a six-month (Jan – June) process of discernment and collective imagination. It aims to:
- Nurture Ideas with Spiritual Roots: Cultivate bold, faith-inspired dreams that rise from pain, longing, or curiosity—dreams meant to reimagine what work can be in our time.
- Clarify Ideas with Communal Discernment: Create sacred space for participants to explore ideas they’ve held in tension: a side hustle, a quiet prompting, or a vocational “what if.”
- Foster Communal Listening and Reflection: Offer rhythms of gathering where participants can listen deeply to God, themselves, and others in sacred community.
- Integrate Formation and Imagination: Engage spiritual practices, creative exercises, and vocational inquiry so that each idea becomes not just viable, but also spiritually vital.

Program Fees
We believe in a gift economy—where our work and giving is not transactional but part of a relational and generative system. Like a root network, where some trees bear more fruit in one season and others in another, this pricing approach allows for a shared ecosystem of flourishing—some contribute more so that others may receive, and all are sustained together.
Our tiered pricing model reflects this, allowing participants to contribute at a level that aligns with their capacity while supporting the mission to see work revived by love. We invite you to participate in a way that reflects your own season and capacity.
