I’m learning to “be still before the Lord and wait patiently” (Psalm 37:7; Isaiah 30:18, Lamentations 3:25) & trying not to be anxious (Phil 4:6-7) in the meantime, trusting that God reveals different things in different seasons. I’m understanding that even if things seem slow-moving, I can have faith that work is being worked out unbeknownst to me in order to prepare me for a season to spring into action. Also I’ve been learning to discern… Read More »Be Still and Wait Patiently

I came into the Dream Forum, ready to work and prove myself. Ready to learn great things to accomplish great things. What I found instead were gentle words of Jesus, “come and follow” and a dream that exceeded the dream I received from God. The challenge of dreaming is yielding—not to opinions of others, but to God’s vision of becoming. ——— When the Peter, Andrew, James, and John heard Jesus… Read More »This Isn’t a Campaign Promise; It’s the Voice of Creation

The Dream Forum retreat in Princeton ended just before an intense and difficult week, and then a summer that tested me both professionally and personally. What I’ve learned through this process was at first subtle – but… Read More »The Real Surprise

Upon completion, the Dream Forum will have launched with a listening retreat, included monthly listening sessions with companions, and offered two separate 2 week “intrusive prayer” listening journeys. It’s safe to say a pillar of the Goldenwood Dream Forum is inviting its participants to a posture of listening. The intrusion of tuning my heart, mind, soul and spirit to God in work context stretched an under-worked muscle, resulting in creativity… Read More »Listening for Good

I entered the Dream Forum with no expectations other than a desire to hear God’s voice more clearly. I longed for clarity about my purpose as a storyteller, and I received more than I could have anticipated. God illuminated and refined my dream: to build a film ecosystem in Athens, Georgia, that produces and shares divinely inspired stories with the world. The listening prayer exercises became transformative moments for me.… Read More »Peaks and Valleys
