SUMMARY:TRELLIS: Listening for God
DESCRIPTION:Our misconceptions of God can keep us from experiencing the incredible privileges of divine communion with Father\, Son\, and Spirit. Despite the ultimate mystery of who God is (how can the finite truly know the infinite?)\, the gospel is that this Triune God eagerly calls to us as both friend and child. \nThe (optional) accompanying text for this TRELLIS will be Dallas Willard’s Hearing God. This is a rich text as Willard guides us through how it is that we can actually hear God’s voice in our lives. With Scripture as its foundation\, Willard offers practical guidance in cultivating a life lived in conversation with God. \nThroughout the two-week experience\, you will be introduced to a variety of prayer forms\, learning to walk conversationally with God\, recognizing His voice in your life.  Trellis will guide you to integrate life-giving spiritual practices into everyday rhythms\, transforming and renewing our sense of calling.  Enter into this season with a new structure that provides the space and a community for hearing God’s voice and knowing who He reveals Himself to be in the midst of your everyday routines\, leading to holistic vitality. \nThe TRELLIS structure includes: \n\n1 Intro Session: Sun Oct 22\, 7:30-9p EST. DESCRIPTION:NOVEMBER IS DREAMER MONTH! \nFor the past six months\, our twelve Dreamers have been guided on a journey of slowing down to discern God’s voice calling new things forth\, provided with practical resources and connections\, and supported by individual guidance from our Cultivation Committee. \nNow it’s time to bring YOUR skills\, connections\, and resources into this communal process of dream cultivation and play your part in taking up the calling we’ve received—a calling to reimagine and remake our world with love. \nWe’re extending this year’s Dream Forum across three nights\, highlighting four Dreamers each week\, to create more space for honoring these incredible Dreamers and nurturing generative connections. I came to study psychotherapy and trauma therapy in the United States with the hope of bringing this knowledge back to my homeland—even before a full-scale war broke out.
