Embers International: Mumbai Field Team Visit

Embers International is a global NGO with the mission to end intergenerational exploitation and transform oppressed communities through its “new wineskin” approach. Its current work in India is designed to protect, restore, and empower the whole family of 110+ children trapped in the crime and cycle of human trafficking. Goldenwood Institute Dean of Justice Haejin Shim Fujimura is the co-founder and serves as the CEO of Embers.

Embers’ work requires constant learning with humility and tenacious love with hope, and its partnership with Goldenwood reinforces its commitment to transform the global anti-trafficking work with love.

Goldenwood is grateful to join our friends at Embers International on their annual trip to visit the Embers field team, clients, and local partners in Mumbai, India to encourage them, build their capacity, and refine its programs. Goldenwood’s CEO, Rev. Dr. David H. Kim, serves as the Spiritual Formation Counsel for Embers and will provide the Embers field team with a series of spiritual formation sessions based on Goldenwood offerings.
