DREAM FORUM | Round 1 (Virtual)

NOVEMBER IS DREAMER MONTH!

For the past six months, our twelve Dreamers have been guided on a communal journey of slowing down to discern God’s voice calling new things forth, a process that included rhythms of stillness and listening to God for themselves and for one another, spiritual direction, coaching, and dedicated resourcing from the broader Forum network.

Now it’s time to bring YOUR skills, connections, and resources into this communal process of dream cultivation and play your part in taking up the calling we’ve received—a calling to reimagine and remake our world with love.

We’re extending this year’s Dream Forum across two nights, highlighting six Dreamers each week, to create more space for honoring these incredible Dreamers and nurturing generative connections. Together, in Spirit-led community, we can cultivate new vision to help bring beauty, justice, and restoration to our world.

Meet A.L. Mills (Nashville, TN) | Bringing True Femininity Into Focus

At the core of much of the gender confusion happening in the world today is a very real issue: lack of identity. While there are godly books out there about what it is to be a man, I searched for many years to find a counterpart that outlined what true femininity is. My book, Feminine Agency, is an overview of what it truly means to be a woman and where feminism has not always served women well.

 

 

 

 

Meet Brad Watson (Austin, TX) | A Center for Hope, Belief, and Learning

I dream about creating a center (either physical or cultivated in different moments and cities) for people struggling to believe and yet still can’t leave their faith behind. Where they are able to experience faithful Christian community, process questions, and rebuild faith that isn’t baggage from their past but a blessing in their present and purpose for their future. My dream is we could help Christian communities do this in their context, too.

 

 

Meet Kez Joseph (Liverpool, U.K.) | A ministry for single women often overlooked

Single women today are like the widows of the 1st century – disadvantaged by society and in many ways, shunned by the Church. Pre-existing singles ministries often overlook the demographic of women more likely to marry later in life, who have higher rates of marital instability or are less likely to marry at all – Black and Global Majority women. My dream is to see these women centered and reinstated as the royalty God has made them to be. A singles ministry that includes divorcees, single parents and women who desire more than marriage. That does not shy away from difficult topics and the questions that arise for Christian women embracing singleness beyond their 30s. That unlocks joy, worth and purpose in singleness that empowers and fulfills.

 

Meet Lauren Brown (New York, NY) | Peregrine Immersion Gatherings

My dream is to host, in Europe, a well curated exploration of art, history, food, culture to expand a traveler’s ( pilgrim or “ peregrini”) quest by setting apart a week in a unique venue with expert led workshops, discussions and experiences. To ground others in a larger story in the context of an immersive retreat in a cross cultural setting.

 

 

 

 

Meet Matt Perkins (Athens, GA) | Building a Film Ecosystem

My dream is to build a film ecosystem in Athens, Georgia, that produces and shares divinely inspired stories with the world.

 

 

 

 

 

Meet Steve Teng (Austin, TX) | A Movement of Redemptive Work

Much of the faith and work movement has overlooked resourcing and dignifying the daily work of those within lower socio-economic communities. I dream of a movement of redemptive work thriving in marginalized communities, beginning with a “friends and family” response through the Church, for believers who may not have “friends and family” in work or business. A collective initiative offering access to capital, relationships, and formation to empower redemptive work in communities that most need hope.
